Lifelong Learning with ITEnable: Career Design Workshop in Partnership with SINDA
Last Friday, we ran our WITGRITFIT Career Design workshop with 25 students from ITEnable initiative organised by Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) to help youths discover important career principles.
ITEnable is a college-based motivational programme designed to build confidence and resilience in Indian ITE students. Their series of activities and workshops enable students to learn new and interesting skills with their peers.
Fun & Engaging
During the workshop, students engage in our WITGRITFIT Career Design Game where they explore possible career pathways through their characters.
In between game rounds, students also engage in active discussions; learning about the importance of education, upskilling and career mobility. Through these discussions, students also uncover truths about themselves and how they would like to live their lives.
The game elements include Character Creation, Education, Career Centre, Resources, Work, Leaderboard and more!
Career Satisfaction
Our WITGRITFIT Career Design Framework is research-backed and based on theories by Howard Gardner (Multiple Intelligences), Edgar Schein (Career Anchors), Paul Tough (Performance Characters), John Holland (RIASEC) and more.Â
It posits that career satisfaction is found when an individual’s WIT (natural strengths), GRIT (performance characters), and FIT (core values) align. The workshop illustrates this through our Career Canvas where students can put down their WIT, GRIT and FIT
Lifelong Learning
In a world where change is constant, students need to discover their value and develop career resilience through lifelong learning. As such, they discover this when their options for jobs increase as they gain skills.
